As far as KCC is concerned, there is no finer rim than those made by Boyd. Boyd rims are the gold standard for quality construction and top tier craftspersonship throughout their entire product range. As a repair and service studio we do hundreds of hand-built, custom wheels a year and we consider ourselves a bit of an authority on the topic. With that said, we're not sure why everyone is sleeping on these rims because there is no finer alloy rim at any price point.

"CCC is a rim that can handle rugged off-road terrain, while still performing on pavement sections.  The alloy gravel-specific rim is 25mm internal and has a 2.8mm offset. It features smaller .7mm hooks (compared to most standard 1.1mm hooks) with increased thickness on the hook walls (1.35mm) for better impact protection while running lower pressures."
