The Kasai Trail Beam is our budget friendly light that offers an integrated charging system. For the longest time the Sinewave Beacon has been the go-to dynamo light for this feature, and while it’s an AMAZING light, this one from Kasai is much, much more affordable. This light is a flood light, there is no horizon. This means it is best used off-road as it will ‘dazzle’ and blind onlookers on the road. The Kasai Trail Beam uses a micro USB charging port which is activated when the light is turned off. You cannot charge anything with ‘excess’ power from the light, you must turn the light off to charge your battery/device. This light has a waterproof rating of IP65 and is made of CNC’d 6061 aluminum with a nice black anodized finish. The fork crown mount pictured here is included with the purchase of a light.

*Dynamo lights require a dynamo front hub to power. This light will not run without a dynamo system in place on your bicycle, and this generally means rebuilding your front wheel with a hub that can create power for your lights/charging system.
