Handle a flat like it's no big deal! The Park Tool VP-1 Vulcanizing Patch Kit is your best friend out on the road or trail. The kit includes sandpaper, vulcanizing fluid, and butyl patches. To use, simply locate the puncture on the tube and roughen the area with the provided sandpaper. Next, spread a thin layer of vulcanizing fluid and let dry. Remove the back of the butyl patch and apply to the punctured area on the tube with firm pressure. After a minute or two, check around the patch to ensure it has bonded successfully to the tube. Reinstall, inflate and you're back riding like nothing happened!
The best part is that the vulcanizing patch kit is super small and can fit easily in a stem on saddle bag.
