The Brooks B17 is the most iconic saddle in all of cycling and for good reason! Made of vegetable tanned leather and in production for well over 100 years, the B17 is an extremely comfortable as well as versatile saddle. You can think of a leather saddle a lot like a pair of leather work boots. A brooks leather saddle will continue to shape and fit to your specific anatomy throughout it’s lifetime and, if properly taken care of, will last for decades. One should consider though, that a leather saddle needs to be conditioned and tensioned periodically and that a cover is needed when it is raining heavily or when you are sweating heavily. More care and attention is spent on a leather saddle but it pays it all back with great fit, aesthetic and longevity. We recommend the Brooks B17 for a wide variety of cycling disciplines and fits.
