This is our favourite bag for light duty touring and heavy duty commuting. Zeitgeist is great as either a handlebar bag (use the included foam spacer kit to give your hands and cables some room,) or as a saddle bag. New for 2020, the Zeitgeist has a hearty update including a semi-rigid liner (which is removable and replaceable,) updated fabrics (Cordura to XPac,) a cinching strap in the centre of the bag to draw it’s contents further from the wheel, and an updated attachment system. The dowel has been removed from inside the bag which not only alleviates the need for holes into the bag, but also removes the annoying process of threading leather straps over the dowel for installation - a major improvement in our opinion! Even with all these upgrades the Zeitgeist remains extremely light, especially when compared to traditional panniers, and bags with more traditional cotton duck fabrics. The Zeitgeist only weighs 615 grams! 

*Keep in mind that if you’d like to use this as a saddle bag you’ll need to run a saddle with saddle ‘rando’ loops (like a Brooks B17 or C17,) or purchase a set of clamp on loops additionally . We often recommend a bag support such as the Carradice Bagman (or Bagperson as we prefer around here!) to keep the bag from rubbing on the back of your legs when run off the saddle.
